My name is Amanda Reed and I am currently teaching Pre-K at Pearl River Elementary School in Choctaw, MS. I got my B.S. in Physical Education from UWA in December 2005 with the intention of becoming an Elementary P.E. teacher and at a later time go for a graduate degree in Adapted Special Physical Education. Sometimes life changes your chosen path because finding a job as a P.E. teacher in a elementary school setting for the Choctaw Tribal School System was just not possible at this time. I was working as an Instructional Assistant At Pearl River Elementary School located in Choctaw, MS praying for a P.E. teaching job to come available. And even though that prayer was not answered something miraculous happened- I was able to get an emergency license to teach one of our school's Pre-K classes and I love it and have discovered a new found passion teaching elementary school. I am now in the 5th Year Non-Traditional Graduate Program seeking a M.ED in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.
